Twitter

Twitter is a rapidly growing social network that is the basis of many business' and film companies generating audience feedback. Tweeting production companies allows them to look into what the public want to see and can influence decisions made by producers and directors. Also an advantage of twitter is that so many people use it including celebrites. Therefore giving amatuer film makers a way to make their mark on the industry by developing connections within the industry itself. Its a form of below the line marketing which is free and easy to use and manage.

To get audience feedback we used below the line marketing to gain as many responses as possible. This was done through...

                                                                          - Social Networks

                                                                          - Viewing Sites

Instagram is a form of social network where people broadcast pictures and videos to their followers. They also can view the pictures of the people they follow. We will create our own intstagram company account to broadcast process pictures, behind the scenes elements and links to the watch the film itself. An advantage of this is that we can promote the film in a cheap way and create a fanbase.

Instagram

Facebook is a popular social networking site that has been running for a while. Its high reputation as enabled many businesses and film makers to promote their films through facebook pages. Therefore we have decided to create a facebook page that we will post links to watch our film, our film poster and radio trailer. Plus updates on the process.

Facebook

Pinintrest is a site that posts and pins daily events. if you like it , pin it.  Its a way marketing companies save money and start off the viral marketing process. So we have created a pininterest page to help do the same.

You Tube

Pininterest

You Tube is one of the most powerful companies in the promotion of music, TV and Film. It viral markets as well as allowing the viewers to make reviews and videos to upload themselves. This is where we will upload our film too. Also the comment section can help us get some effective audience feedback.

Our Press Relations representative Lauren Shean owns a blog called the Daily Complains with Blogger also known as Blog spot. She has decided to write about her time with us on shoots and the process of editing. This has helped us because we can review what we have already done and evaluate stages of the process that someone outside the group has recognised. This blog is a create viral marketig way to gain audience feedback.

OUR FEEDBACK AND AUDIENCE RESPONSE TO CAMOUFLAGE

YouTube Feedback:

The Short film was upload on Ruby's YouTube account with added tags such as our names , camouflage and short film. These tags are useful because they help attract viewers of our short film. As a result we recieve comments and feedback.

The number of views a YouTube a short film gets can determine its success as well as starting the process of viral marketing.  We got 301 + views which we feel is very successful whilst also recieving 3 'like' rating which tells us the viewers liked our short film. We got 0 dislike ratings which overall suggests a positive response. However we understand that even if we did get some dislike ratings that can still be a way of starting the process of viral makerting which is always useful because it helps market our film, therefore attracting viewers.

We decided to comment back and interact with the viewers that had commented on our film to say thank you because we think this is a good way of gaining an audience or fan base. Short film makers aren't as successful as feature length film makers because of the fact they arent promoted enough in the industry. This is a way we could get our voice into the industry.

YouTube comment sections are places where viewers can share there thoughts on the short film. This is very helpful because we can find out what people think of the short film and helps us with the evaluation stages of our process. YouTube to some extent acts as our exibitor because it broadcasts our short film globally through a company.

We got some members of the cast who were voiceovers in our film to share their thoughts on the film as well. Almost like a premiere but without the red carpet!

Comments also act as a way for viewers to tell their friends and other people they know about us as well as promoting us as a company on twitter and other social networks.
