Our Audience Research needs to consist of both qualitative and quantiative data collected in a variety of ways. We also wanted to make sure we used both primary and secondary data so we could get an overall picture of what audience type we would like to have as our target audience.
Method One Questionaire: ( Primary Data )
Advantages : cheap and quick
Disadvantages: people can lie and you can get a porr response rate.
I chose to have both open and closed questions so I collect both qualitiative and quantitative data. This reduces the problem of validity and showcases some reliability. Josephine Maxfield
Method Two : Vox Pop
Advatages : allows for the public opinion to be heard, a different types of people (ethincity, age, gender) to be interviewed, freedom of speech
Disadvantages: time consuming, may not a good a response rate, people may not want to participate, informed consent to use footage.
